Strategic Partnerships Unit

The Strategic Partnerships Unit, an integral function of St Mary Outreach Service (SMOS), is responsible for developing, managing, and strengthening relationships with external organisations to enhance the impact and reach of SMOS programs. The unit operates at a strategic level, focusing on collaboration with charities, government agencies, healthcare providers, and community organisations.

Its primary role is to establish formal partnerships and agreements, including Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), that enable coordinated service delivery and resource sharing. Through these partnerships, SMOS is able to extend its capacity, avoid duplication of services, and ensure that communities receive comprehensive and effective support.

The unit also facilitates joint initiatives, co-hosted events, and collaborative outreach programs, particularly in areas such as disaster relief, health services, and social support. It serves as the central point of contact for organisations seeking to work with SMOS, ensuring consistent communication and alignment with organisational values and standards.

In addition, the Strategic Partnerships Unit supports program development by identifying new opportunities for collaboration and funding, contributing to the sustainability and growth of SMOS.

All activities are conducted with a focus on professionalism, transparency, and mutual benefit, ensuring that partnerships are purposeful, accountable, and aligned with the mission of serving communities with dignity and care.
