Little Hands Program
The Little Hands Program is designed to support children from low socioeconomic backgrounds by addressing essential educational and wellbeing needs. The program recognises that access to basic school resources and nutrition significantly influences a child’s capacity to learn and participate fully in school life.
At the beginning of each school year and academic term, the program provides essential items such as stationery, school uniforms, shoes, and other learning materials. These provisions aim to reduce financial pressure on families and ensure that children can engage in their education with dignity and confidence.
The program also contributes to student wellbeing through nutritional support. This includes supplying breakfast essentials to schools and actively participating in breakfast clubs, helping to ensure that children begin their day adequately nourished and ready to learn.
Where permitted, volunteers engage with children through structured activities such as sports, creative arts, and interactive games. Informal chaplaincy and pastoral support are also offered in a respectful and inclusive manner.
Participation is open to those committed to practical service and community engagement. The Little Hands Program seeks to promote equity, wellbeing, and opportunity for every child.
