Global Assistance Program
The Global Assistance Program, an initiative of St Mary Outreach Service (SMOS), is dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities through education, healthcare, and youth development across selected regions worldwide. The program currently operates in Cambodia (Asia) and Brazil (South America), with a focus on delivering sustainable and culturally appropriate support.
A core component of the program is the sponsorship of children’s education, providing financial assistance, learning resources, and ongoing support to ensure access to schooling and improved future opportunities. In parallel, the program works to alleviate poverty through targeted assistance that addresses both immediate needs and long-term development.
The program also conducts medical missions, delivering essential healthcare services to underserved communities through visiting professionals and local partnerships. These missions aim to address urgent medical needs while promoting health awareness and preventative care.
In addition, the Global Assistance Program supports English language education, enhancing communication skills and expanding educational and employment prospects. Complementing these efforts, the program organises sports and recreational activities for children and young people, fostering wellbeing, social engagement, and personal development.
Through collaboration with local partners, SMOS ensures that all initiatives are implemented with accountability, respect, and lasting impact. The Global Assistance Program reflects a commitment to empowering communities globally through practical support and opportunity.
