Community Hearts Program
The Community Hearts Program is committed to supporting senior citizens living independently in their own homes. The program addresses both practical and pastoral needs, enabling elderly individuals to maintain dignity, comfort, and connection within their familiar environment.
Volunteers provide regular assistance through home visits that include preparing meals, helping with grocery shopping, and offering companionship. These visits are structured to foster trust and continuity, ensuring that seniors receive consistent and attentive care. Beyond practical support, the program also emphasises relational engagement—spending time in conversation, reading together, and building meaningful human connections.
Spiritual care forms an integral component of the program. Where welcomed, volunteers offer prayer and Scripture reading, contributing to the emotional and spiritual well-being of participants.
Participation is open to individuals who wish to serve in a respectful and compassionate manner. The Community Hearts Program seeks to reduce isolation, promote well-being, and strengthen community bonds by supporting senior citizens in the place they value most—their own homes.
